Gates of Hope

Golden Gate Bridge with Rolling Fog. San Francisco, CA. April 2012.

It's been a while since I last posted a picture on here. I have been monitoring the fog condition at Golden Gate Bridge for quite some time and had gotten skunk a few times. When I saw that the condition might work last week, I woke up at 4AM and headed there. As I approached the bridge, I was greeted by thin layer of fog. Knowing that the fog will get thicker in the next 2 hours, I got really pumped! As I drove up the hill, I saw many photographers were already setup and shooting, I quickly parked my car and setup, aimed at the bridge and shot away! For the next couple of hours, all my problems and worries disappeared as I enjoyed watching this natural phenomenon unfolding in front of me. For a while, life was full of hope again! (Hence the title)

Here's my take of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge with the low fog rolling in to the bay. The city of San Francisco and Bay Bridge are visible in the background. The small island on the upper left is Alcatraz which was getting covered in fog.
